Network Services (NETS) provides live audio paging between Cisco IP phones and third party SIP devices (IP capable speakers). These devices are clustered together to form a recipient group to receive and broadcast audio messages.

How do I request or access this service?
Requests for IP message broadcast service activation can be made through the Network Services (netadmin@uvic.ca). Note that if you do not have FAST signing authority, you will need the approval of someone in your department who does.
What is the cost for this service?
Costs vary depending upon request. Visit the Technology Solutions Centre for cost details on IP Speakers and telephone models with speakers. The service fee per IP Speaker or telephone is $2.96 monthly.
When is this service available?
This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. You can be informed of service interruptions by subscribing to Informed.
