University Systems is pleased to provide current faculty, staff, and students with hardware assistance for a variety of PC and Apple devices. Client Services technicians are certified to repair and service Apple products, TSC-obtained Dell computers, and Lexmark printers; technicians can also perform Mac system upgrades such as the installation of memory, hard drives, and adapter cards.
For computers not serviced by the technicians, hardware-certified consultants at the Computer Help Desk can assist with user-installable computer hardware, such as hard drives and RAM.

How do I request or access this service?
Drop your hardware off at the Technology Solutions Centre (TSC), located in Clearihue C143. A consultant will check in your computer and either service it at the TSC or transfer it to the technicians. A cost estimate can be given before repairs are made; however, no return time can be guaranteed.
If your department has Desktop Support Services, contact your support person.
What is the cost for this service?
In general, the Computer Help Desk's hardware service is available at a rate of $50 per hour for students and $75 per hour for faculty and staff. For charging details, visit About the Computer Help Desk.
Client Services Technicians can repair Apple products still under warranty. The cost of non-warranty repairs will include the cost of any parts required as well as a service fee. For charging details, visit About Technical Services.

The Computer Help Desk is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
