Achievement Awards recognize undergraduate students who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the pursuit of excellence in their endeavours. Fine arts, athletics, and other areas where individual expression becomes public are recognized through these awards. Recipients must have demonstrated financial need and a minimum 3.5 sessional grade point average for students continuing at or transferring to UVic, or a 70% admission average for students commencing postsecondary studies for the first time. Departments will distribute application forms to prospective students, who will complete and return them to the Office of the Dean of Fine Arts.

JTS Scholarship*

One scholarship, of at least $1,000, is awarded to an academically outstanding undergraduate student entering or continuing in each of the following Departments: Visual Arts, the School of Music and Theatre.
Approval of the recipients will be made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the Department of Visual Arts, the School of Music and the Department of Theatre.
Lawrence and Marie Luisa Macrae Scholarship in Theatre*

One or more scholarships are awarded to academically outstanding undergraduate students entering, continuing or transferring into the Performance Program in the Department of Theatre. Approval of the recipient(s) is made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the Department of Theatre.
Students must apply to be considered for the entrance scholarships below, which are based on marks and other criteria such as academic achievement and volunteer and community work. All UVic entrance scholarships require a minimum 85% admission average, unless otherwise specified in the terms of reference of the scholarship. Recipients will be approved by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the Department of Theatre.

Barbara McIntyre Scholarship in Theatre*

A scholarship is awarded to a third or fourth year student who, in the opinion of the Department of Theatre, displays outstanding ability in the area of theatre in education. If there is no theatre in education candidate, the award may go to a student in any branch of theatre work.
A third year student must use the scholarship to complete fourth year studies at the 番茄社区 Theatre Department; a fourth year student is allowed the option of furthering studies at a recognized school of theatre or university.
Approval of the recipient will be made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the Department of Theatre.
Bentley Nichvolodoff Memorial Book Prize*

A book prize is awarded to the student with the highest aggregate grade in Theatre 246 and Theatre 347.

Clio Book Prize in Theatre History*

A book prize is awarded to a third or fourth year undergraduate student with an A average in two of the 300 or 400 level courses in Theatre History.

Crestview-Chelsea Theatre Award*

An award is offered at the discretion of the Department of Theatre to a promising and deserving student in Theatre who is continuing at the 番茄社区.

Dorothy Somerset Scholarship in Theatre*

A scholarship made available by Miss Rivkah Isaacs of Victoria, is awarded to the third or fourth year student who, in the opinion of the Department of Theatre, displays outstanding talent and devotion to any branch of theatre work.
A third year student must use the scholarship to complete fourth year studies at the 番茄社区 Theatre Department; a fourth year student is allowed the option of furthering studies at a recognized school of theatre, such as the National Theatre School or the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.Dr. Marion Porath Legacy Scholarship in Theatre Costume Design or Construction

A scholarship of $500 is awarded to an academically outstanding undergraduate or graduate student in the Department of Theatre specializing in costume design.
Approval of the recipient will be made by either the Senate Committee on Awards or the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee, upon the recommendation of the Department of Theatre.
Sarah Blackstone Scholarship in Theatre*

A scholarship is awarded to a student entering fourth year with an outstanding average in any 3.0 units of upper-level theatre history courses. A maximum of 1.5 units of directed studies in theatre history may be included in the total of 3.0 units.
