British Columbia Graduate Scholarship (BCGS)
The Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills funds the British Columbia Graduate Scholarship (BCGS) program to support excellence in British Columbia’s graduate programs. These merit-based awards enable BC institutions to attract graduate students who are leaders in their field.
BCGS nominations are administered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies based upon the recommendation of departments.

Eligibility
Eligible degree programs include both research-intensive and professional graduate programs, with an emphasis, but not exclusive focus, on disciplines related to science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics, entrepreneurship, and design.
The BCGS is open to Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents with a minimum first class GPA (7.0 on UVic’s 9.0 scale).
