Protection of Privacy
The 番茄社区 is committed to protecting the personal information in its custody and control. We collect only personal information that is directly related to, and needed for, operating our programs and activities. Employees, service providers, and volunteers must comply with applicable legislation and UVic's Protection of Privacy Policy, procedures and guidelines, whenever third party personal information is entrusted to the university's care.
The Chief Privacy Officer oversees the development and implementation of the university's Protection of Privacy program.
Access to Information
The University Records Management Policy contains the mandate of ensuring "that Access is provided to Records in compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act" which is reflected in the policy's associated Procedures for Access to and Correction of Information, included with the policy.
The Access Officer is available to assist applicants, faculty, and staff with procedures relating to access to information at UVic.
