New employee orientation
As part of the university's ongoing commitment to increase privacy, records management and information security awareness, all new staff are expected to complete “New Employee Orientation: Privacy, Records Management, and Information Security”. This is a self-paced online privacy, records management and information security orientation.
The online orientation includes multimedia material. It is estimated that the course will take 15 minutes to complete.
Who should take the orientation?
All new UVic employees.
What information does the orientation provide?
The orientation provides a brief introduction to privacy, records management, and personal information security at UVic. It has been developed by the Chief Privacy Officer, the University Archives’ records management program, and University Systems, in collaboration with Human Resources and Technology Integrated Learning.
How do I access the orientation?
The orientation is available through Brightspace. You must have a Netlink ID and password to sign in.
