National Centre For Indigenous Laws
The building form rises gently from north to south, bringing the following key benefits:
- The building rises up to offer generous views and physical connections to the south forest from the primary teaching and learning and research spaces in the building
- Concentrating the highest massing at the south end minimizes shadowing from the expansion onto the existing, particularly onto existing offices in the Fraser administration block
- Water can move freely from south to north and collect in natural depressions towards the exiting main entrance
- The double height atrium space has a direct connection with the tall trees to the south
