Academic supports

Academic advisers are an invaluable resource. They can:

  • help you understand general and individual program requirements;
  • work with you to adjust your course load; and
  • direct you towards many of the learning resources available as a UVic student.

The 2024 New Student Welcome provides important information and resources for students who are new to the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science. It was presented by the Dean, faculty members and staff on Sept. 4, along with a video by the Assistant Dean, Community and Culture.

A similar 2024 Bridge Student Orientation for engineering students entering directly into 3rd year via a bridge program was presented on January 10th.

Program planning worksheets

Use a program planning worksheet to help plan your courses for your degree. Note that these worksheets are for planning purposes only and don’t replace your Curriculum, Advising and Program Planning (CAPP) report once you’ve declared your program.
