Research centres
Advanced materials
The Centre for Advanced Materials and Related Technology (CAMTEC) conducts interdisciplinary work on advanced materials and technology. The applications of their work span from health to renewable energy. CAMTEC members work closely with scientists and engineers from the private and public sectors.
Institute for Integrated Energy Systems
UVic's Institute for Integrated Energy Systems (IESVic) is an international leader in research on sustainable energy solutions. Their work includes fuel cells, energy efficiency and alternative energy sources. They also engage in large-scale, long-term analysis of how policy and technology can work together.
Data science
The Matrix Institute for Applied Data Science brings together diverse members from academia, industry and government. They facilitate discovery research, innovation, training and technical transfer to industry on applied data science.
