Story and voice
It's our role as UVic communicators to tell the Edge story in a clear, consistent, and compelling way. The language we use to tell the UVic story matters. Our voice and vocabulary play an important role in how we attract students, interact with community partners and engage with alumni, faculty, staff and supporters.
Our voice is a combination of three elements:
- the tone of our communications,
- the overall character we convey, and
- our unique messaging.
These pages will help you articulate your unit's messages within the UVic Edge story. You can also download a pdf of the Edge voice guide.
With a solid understanding of what the Edge is all about, you can tell a sharper, more consistent story about UVic and its programs—one that will support all of our goals.
