About Mark
I grew up in the forests of North Vancouver before backpacking through Europe and moving to London, England. After a couple years surrounded by the big-city concrete, I escaped to Victoria and studied at UVic.
As a student, I loved the incredible community here, and I'm thrilled to be back as a recruiter. I'm grateful for the opportunity to help new students choose UVic, and I hope it brings them the growth and happiness it brought my wife and me during our studies here.
My advice to future university students
UVic is a sociable university where thousands of meaningful, lasting friendships are forged. It's a supportive campus where students come together to improve both their community and communities around the world. Make sure that you take full advantage of everything available to you, whether that means signing up for an activity you've never tried or taking the ten-minute walk to the beach. Everything you do today is part of who you'll be tomorrow.
