Virtual Payment Terminal (VPT) is a computer with a special security configuration that allows UVic employees to safely enter customer payment card information received via telephone, mail, or fax (MOTO) in a PCI compliant manner. It is an institutional decision to process payment card information received via telephone, mail, or fax using Virtual Payment Terminals to manage risk of PCI non-compliance. See for more information.
