Resiliency in Exercise Professionals
Maintaining healthy lifestyle behaviours is just as important for exercise professionals as it is for the general public. There is often an assumption that because someone is an exercise professional that they must be healthy. Unfortunately, this is often not the case, many exercise professionals struggle with their own health and wellness. Exercise professionals are often the people who are leading community-based health/wellness/fitness programs which is difficult to do if they are feeling exhausted and burned out.
We are currently looking at the current state of burnout in exercise professionals with the goal of developing an intervention that uses digital communication technology to improve their resiliency and decrease the rate of burnout.
