Co-op

Jay Choi is an international student from South Korea studying Indigenous Studies and Pacific and Asian Studies. Choi completed a co-op work term with BC Wildfire Service.

Take your learning beyond the classroom at UVic. Through the co-op program, you can alternate terms in class with paid work terms in jobs related to what you’re studying.

There are optional co-op programs for undergraduate and graduate students in all Humanities programs.

Ethan Jorgensen completed a co-op work term in communications with the BC Ministry of Forests, where he created and edited written, photographic, and video content, travelled throughout BC as a journalist, built a social media handbook, and did graphic design.
Indigenous Studies
Mel Granley, an Indigenous Studies co-op student, is standing amongst a colourful art display at the Legacy Art Gallery.
Mel Granley helped curate the Legacy Gallery's "On Beaded Ground" exhibit, which explores the essential role of Indigenous womens' beading practices in the reclamation and renewal of culture, identity, stories and teachings.
