Application deadlines have just been announced for this year’s Aspiration Postdoctoral Fellowship program. This program run by the Office of the Vice-President Research and Innovation provides match funding for faculty members to recruit new, outstanding postdoctoral fellow researchers to UVic.
The goal
The Aspiration Post-doctoral fellowship program is designed to support the recruitment of new postdoctoral fellow researchers to our UVic community, especially those who advance equity, diversity and inclusion in their research, leadership activities, and disciplines.
This year for the first time, this program is increasing its intake capacity to accept applications twice a year (January 2023 and June 2023), which means a total of six nominees will receive this fellowship in 2023. This offers an exciting opportunity to both recruit and competitively resource postdoctoral fellow researchers and to celebrate the important contributions of postdoctoral fellow researchers who despite their lack of visibility play a critical part of the UVic research and campus community.
