Career fairs & events

As an employer, you can engage with UVic student and alumni through on-campus and virtual events.

Virtual career fair

Connect with 1000+ students and alumni without leaving your office during our virtual events.

We’ve partnered with the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University to connect you with students from all three universities at the same time.

We use a platform called Eventus that lets you set up virtual booths. You can:

  • schedule information sessions
  • hold one-on-one and group video chats
  • chat informally when candidates stop by your booth
  • see students’ résumés and cover letters
  • hold interviews on the spot

You can sponsor these events to broaden your reach at the three institutions.

Next fair: Tentatively set for Spring 2025. Exhibitor registration will open in January or February 2025.

Hi-Tech Co-op & Career Fair

Meet hundreds of engineering and computer science students looking for co-op positions and full-time work at the Hi-Tech Career Fair.

Our 2025 event will take place on February 4 and 5, 2025, with registration opening at the end of October 2024.

Email us to be added to our contact list. You'll receive more information about the event and updates on when registration will open.

Mock interview clinics

Promote your organization to new co-op students by volunteering at a mock interview clinic and giving students a chance to practice their interview skills before starting their work search.

You’ll join other employers to interview co-op students and provide on-the-spot feedback. Each interview and feedback session is about 25 minutes.

Interviews may be in person or virtual. Contact your co-op program to volunteer.

Events for Indigenous students

We run a series of events for Indigenous students each year, including career fairs and mock interview clinics.

Employer information sessions

Raise your organization’s profile with UVic students and alumni through hosting an employer information session. Email us about:

Set up your own virtual session, promote your event through your own networks and connect with relevant UVic student clubs or course unions. We may promote your session on our online events calendar and social media channels.
