Audiovisual and Media Services

AV staff can deliver, set up, and demonstrate a variety of equipment for in-class use, special events, and conferences. Media Services assists UVic employees with recording lectures and connecting to remote sites through their video conferencing facilities.


Client Technologies

Client Technologies roles include Audiovisual and Media Services, Information Security, Technical Services, as well as support for a wide range of services for faculty, staff, and students.  Learn more.


Computer Help Desk

The Computer Help Desk provides all clients of the University with a single point of contact to receive assistance with services provided by University Systems.


Desktop Support Services

Desktop Support Services is contracted by departments to provide on-site desktop support to faculty and staff.


Information Security

The Information Security Office supports the University's commitment to create a secure yet open computing environment in which the University Community can teach, learn, conduct research, and perform administrative functions.


Student Computing Facilities

UVic's Student Computing Facilities provide computing resources and assistance to UVic students, staff, and faculty with four computing facilities on campus.


Technical Services

UVic Computing Technicians are vendor trained in Apple and Lexmark Printers, Apple and IBM Computers, and various other consumer and commercial audio visual products.


Technology Solutions Centre

The purpose of the Technology Solutions Centre (TSC) is to provide institutional sales assistance to faculty and staff.
