High School Outreach Programs
Are you a drama teacher or a high school counsellor who would like to know more about Theatre at UVic? We’re here to support you and your students.
Book a class tour
Tours of the Phoenix Theatre facilities are available for high school drama teachers and their students. About one hour in length, tours take students through our three performance spaces and backstage to our scenic shop, props storage, costume shop and wardrobe storage and other facilities. Tour times and areas may be restricted by class and performance requirements. Please contact us to arrange a time.
Annual "I Want to Be in Theatre!" Event
Each year, the Department of Theatre opens its doors to high school students who are interested in pursuing a post-secondary education in theatre. Drama teachers and counsellors are also welcome to attend this informative open house event.
Attend Phoenix Theatre plays
Dress rehearsals are open to students in grades 10-12 accompanied by a teacher chaperone. Come and see the department of theatre’s work in action! Post-show you can look at the set up close and meet the cast and crew. Email our box office for more information.

If you don’t already have contact with a recruitment representative from UVic, contact them and ask to receive their regular e-bulletin for counsellors. They send useful information and reminders to students interested in attending UVic.
