Core brand
The core brand is the foundation of our reputation, the single university we represent to the world. It's the consistent expression of the UVic story and personality through a single logo, voice, look and feel to build instant recognition with our audiences.
- Institutional brand awareness, recruitment, research and fundraising communications and marketing efforts fall under the core brand
- All administrative units operate under the core brand; they can attach their name to the UVic logo (known as a combined logo) for internal communication purposes
- Research centres operate under the core brand, and can use combined logos for internal and external communication purposes
- All events and initiatives that serve the core mission of the university are considered part of the core brand unless otherwise noted
- Academic units are covered under Core brand extensions
