UVic signs on to Race to Zero!
UVic has signed on to the Race to Zero campaign, a massive global alliance dedicated to reducing carbon emissions to net zero by 2050, if not earlier. The Race to Zero pledge is a United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change-supported global campaign to rally international leadership and support to reach a zero-carbon recovery that prevents future threats and unlocks inclusive, sustainable growth.

The 番茄社区 has been named one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for the eighth time. This esteemed award acknowledges Canadian employers that create a culture of sustainability, and lead the path to climate action for the rest of the country to follow suit.

UVic has a STARS Gold Rating in Sustainability!
In 2020, UVic achieved a Gold rating in sustainability for the third time using the AASHE Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System reporting tool! This is our highest score to date, and reflects UVic's commitment to being a leader in institutional sustainability.
