Complete your program
Congratulations! You are getting to the end of your degree program. We can help you to make sure that you are ready to graduate.
Requesting a graduation check
You should request a graduation check once you have registered for your final year of courses, well before your final session begins. Give yourself enough time to make changes to your registration if something is identified in your graduation check.
While performing a grad check, an adviser will go over all of your completed coursework and ensure that you will meet all requirements upon successful completion of your current registration. If any adjustments or substitutions need to be made on your report, the adviser will complete that for you (or advise you if other permissions are required).
Applying to graduate
You don't need to wait to meet with an adviser for a grad check or adjustments prior to submitting your application. If you are reasonably sure that you'll be graduating, you should submit your application—if you submit late, you'll be charged a late fee.
There are deadlines for applying to graduate. If you plan to graduate in June, you'll have to submit by December 15 of the preceding year. If your target is November grad, the application needs to be in by July 15.
Reviewing your graduating GPA
In order to be eligible to graduate, you must have a graduating GPA of 2.0 or above. Your graduating GPA is calculated using all of your 300- and 400-level coursework, regardless of when you completed it or whether it was taken as an elective or required course. For more information, see the information from Undergraduate Records on Graduating GPA.
