It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Paul West, UVic Chemistry Professor Emeritus, on March 14, 2023.
Prof. Katherine Elvira is the 2023 Gilead Award for Excellence in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion winner. This award is presented to a chemist as a mark of distinction and recognition for excellence in their work in equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Prof. Ian Manners is the 2023 E.W.R. Steacie Award winner. This award is presented to a scientist who has made a distinguished contribution to chemistry while working in Canada.
