Confirmation of enrolment
Students are responsible for maintaining interest-free status with their lenders. Please contact your lenders with any questions.
In order to keep your Canada and Provincial Student Loans interest-free, you will need to submit confirmation of full-time enrollment on each type of loan. You must meet the full-time status requirements outlined below. UVic can start confirming enrolment for most provinces 2 weeks before your classes start. For Ontario forms and CPP forms, confirmations can not be completed until the first day of classes.
Confirm full-time status for past loans
To confirm full-time status for past loans (in order to maintain interest-free status), complete the following task(s) if you have not yet cashed and/or received student loan funding for the current term:
- Submit the if you have an integrated student loan
- Submit the required paper confirmation of enrolment forms for student loans prior to the year 2000
- If your loans were through Student Aid BC, (only if you are not taking out a loan for the current term)
Request forms
Getting forms signed
If you cannot come to our office in person, you may email us a request. In order for a request to be complete please do the following:
- Email our office (finaid@uvic.ca) from your preferred email address listed on your MyPage, and
- Provide your full name and student number in all correspondence.
Third party pick-up
If you cannot come to our office in person and wish to designate someone you trust to submit or pick up your paperwork for you, you may complete, scan and email us a third party pick-up form.
- If you are unable to drop the form off in person, please email our office (finaid@uvic.ca) from your preferred email address listed on your MyPage, and
- Provide your full name and student number.
- This is not a legal Power of Attorney and your proxy cannot sign paperwork on your behalf using this form.
Eligbility
Undergraduate students
You may be eligible if you meet the following criteria:
- Registered in a minimum of 4.5 units for credit per term. Students who have registered as having a permanent disability with their student loan provider are considered full-time at 3.0 units for credit per term.
- Course of study is a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.
- Period of study does not have breaks greater than ten working days.
- None of my courses are duplicate, mutually exclusive or waitlisted.
Graduate students
Graduate students must be registered as full-time according to the regulations set by .

- Part-time Government Student Loan forms & documents
- United Nations Enrollment Verification Forms
- Veterans Affairs Forms (USA)
