Frank Esser

2022 Visiting Research Fellow
Frank Esser is a visiting scholar at the Centre for Global Studies. He will be here from April through June 2022. Frank is a Professor of International and Comparative Media Research at the University of Zurich and holds Masters and PhD degrees in Mass Communications. Frank’s research focuses on cross-national studies of news journalism and political communication, and he is the new Chair of International Communication Association’s Political Communication Division. While at the Centre he is working on a project about social media, democracy, and social resilience.
