Micheal Ziegler is a doctoral student in Political Science and CSPT. His main research interests/areas are the history of political thought, technology, science, ethics, language, and the philosophy of mathematics. He holds a BA in Honours Political Science from MacEwan University, and an MA in Political Science and CSPT from the University of Vitoria. Ziegler’s MA thesis focused on the digital self and the contemporary representation of self within the digital present. For his dissertation, he is researching the socio-political realities of artificial intelligence and quantum computing. His primary interest in this research is the ubiquity of AI in everyday life—especially bureaucratic institutions—and what the language of AI and quantum mechanics can tell us about the socio-political present.
