Catherine is a passionate educator who creates inclusive and engaging learning opportunities for adult learners from all backgrounds. Whether in her capacity as classroom professor or educational administrator, she incorporates creative, experiential approaches into all elements of her practice.
She is passionate about leadership for social and environmental justice and her recent book is titled, “Food Leadership: Leadership and Adult Learning for Global Food Systems Transformation.” She has also published in the areas of collaborative leadership, transformative learning, community-based research, mindfulness and leadership, and the use of arts-based methods in promoting social change.
My studies at UVic gave me the necessary grounding in Leadership Studies, Adult Education, and Community-Based Research necessary for my work today.
