Give to UVic
Grads give back to their alma mater for many reasons:
- paying forward benefits they received at UVic
- helping the next generation of graduates in their industry
- advancing a particular area of research
- to support their former sports team
Whatever your reason, your gift will impact the future of our university, its graduates and its impact on the world. And you’ll be joining a special community of alumni donors.
Alumni giving spotlight
The Law Class of 1981 created an entrance scholarship in honour of Anne Fraser, spouse of the law school’s founding dean, the late Murray Fraser. In May, 2022, the class got together for their 40-year reunion.
UVic Chamber Singers alumni celebrated the 50-year legacy of the group, and Bruce More’s leadership as their longest-standing conductor, by setting up an endowment fund to secure the choir's future.
Each year, alumni show that “once a Vike, always a Vike” by supporting the Vikes Championship Breakfast and the Vikes Giving Day. You can also support a specific varsity team.
Student fundraising
Did you know UVic has a student calling team?
We call alumni because we want you to stay connected to your alma mater. We want to know about your experiences and how your UVic education has affected your life after graduation.
If you see 250-721-6002 on your caller ID, don't miss the chance to connect with your UVic community!
The student callers will also ask you to make a donation (or renew your giving) to one of UVic’s many important funds. Donations through the student fundraising program contribute to:
- scholarships
- bursaries
- the library
- athletics
- a specific faculty
- other community programs
No matter how much you give, it always makes a difference.
