Meet Dr. William Dyson
About
I graduated from McMaster medical school in 1975; although by that time I had already worked as a lab biochemist and plant physiologist. I soon after came to UVic and with my passion for science and medicine worked half-time teaching physiology in Nursing and half-time as a physician at UVic Health.
Alongside Dr. Jack Petersen I developed and grew our Health program on campus, and took over as lead physician from 2000-2010. I now work part-time, as I say these are my “sunset years.” I continue to champion student health, while having time to pursue my love for photography and fishing. I still often do my campus run during lunch break, as fitness and good food are an important regime!
