Conflict Transformation Course for Thai legal professionals
November - December 2021
During November to December 2021, CAPI organized a five-part, virtual "Conflict Transformation" course for over one hundred Thai legal professionals, facilitated by our colleagues at and the Development Cooperation Foundation in Bangkok, under the auspices of CAPI Associate Dr. Jingjai Hanchanlash and in celebration of sixty years of Canada-Thai relations. The five lessons, delivered by UVic Faculty of Law professors, covered:
- Multiculturalism and Diversity in Canada (Victor V. Ramraj)
- Conflict Transformation: Experiences from Canada (Catherine Morris)
- Restorative Justice in Canada (Sarah Morales)
- Conflict Resolution and Conflict Management (Deborah Curran)
- Peace Mediation (Robbert Lapper)
The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Sarah Taylor, Canadian Ambassador to Thailand.
