Jeanique is Jamaican born Political Theorist and Comparativist who is committed to anti-racist praxis, anti-violence and community engagement. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Africana Studies at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York and is now writing her Master of Arts thesis here at the 番茄社区,tentatively titled Moralizing Violence, which explores police lethality in her home country of Jamaica and the neighbouring state of Brazil. Through her work she hopes to disrupt the mechanisms which encourage institutional violence and provoke conversations that have the potential of inspiring real change.
