Sophia Mayen
Position
Sophia, born and raised on Vancouver Island, is in her final year of a BA in Geography with a concentration in Geomatics. Her interest in spatial analysis has gone alongside international development, resource management, and the cumulative effects of climate change. Her passion for the environment and human rights has taken her on an integrative approach to her studies and hopes to work towards a career in urban development, with a primary focus on resource allocation and management. Sophia is looking forward to working with CITYNET this summer as a program assistant, developing urban development and disaster management initiatives for Nepal. She is grateful for the opportunity that CAPI has provided her to work and live in Yokohama, Japan along-side this innovative multinational organization.
