Occupational hygiene
The occupational hygiene programs help in the anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of workplace environmental health hazards. These hazards fall into the following categories:
- Chemical hazard: any chemical that can cause injury or illness
- Biological hazard: any biological organism that is infectious or pathological
- Physical hazard: any form of sound, heat, cold or vibration that could result in an occupational injury or illness
