Showing movies on campus
Campus events
I am organizing a movie night for a club/society on campus. Do I need to get permission to show the movie?
Movies may be shown on campus for educational or training purposes where:
- the primary audience consists of students,
- the movie is a legally-obtained copy (purchase, rental or library copy),
- the event is free to attend (i.e., there is no cover charge), and
- advertising for the event is limited to the campus community.
Events outside of this purpose require permission. Please contact Media Librarian Bill Blair.
