Class visits
Special Collections and University Archives welcome undergraduate and graduate classes. We have two classrooms next to our reading room and can help plan a class visit.
Working with our collections, students will:
- Benefit from hands-on work with primary sources
- Develop research skills
- Learn proper handling and use of rare materials
- Understand research etiquette for future work in archives, special collections, museums, and other cultural heritage institutions
Teaching and curriculum
You can book the Special Collections classroom for your class visit. Librarians and archivists are available to teach and facilitate classes. You are also welcome to teach your own class session here.
We can introduce you to our collections and suggest materials that may best fit your course or research interests. We can also place materials on reserve for collections-based assignments.
Please contact us for more information about our policies, classroom facilities, and the teaching support we can offer you.
