Study Options:
UW has the quarter system, which has dates that overlap with the UVic term system in a unique way. This has implications on the number of UVic units students can earn on exchange. 

  • One UW quarter = 1 UVic term
  • Two UW quarters = 2 UVic terms
  • Three UW quarters = 2 UVic terms
  • Part-time exchange (4.5 UVic units per UVic term) is available for one or two UW quarters (Autumn or Winter) 
  • Full-time exchange (7.5 UVic units per UVic term) or part-time exchange (4.5 UVic units per UVic term) is available for three UW quarters (A/W/S).
