  • Students may take courses that have prerequisites, however, they will need to demonstrate they meet those requiremetns.
  • The following subjects are not open to exchange students:
    • Architecture
    • Dentistry
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Medicine
    • Midwifery
    • Pharmacy
  • Course unit information is available for the current academic year, which runs from September to June. If you're applying to exchange for the next academic year, course units will be updated by Manchester in May, before the start of the next academic year in September.

Housing

  • On-campus housing: Guaranteed 
    • Guaranteed is valid for full-year (two-term) exchange students.
    • If you attend Manchester for one exchange term, you can still apply for university housing, without the guarantee.

Medical Insurance, Immigration & Arrival

Visa:

  • International Students are required to obtain a Student visa to study at the University of Manchester. A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is required for your visa application. This unique number confirms the University sponsors you and provides your study details to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). You will receive this once your application has been accepted.
