Past and present, the Asia-Pacific has helped shape the contemporary world as a cultural, political and economic powerhouse. Each specific region has its own mix of complex histories, cultural traditions, and vibrant languages.

I fell in love with Pacific and Asian Studies because of the endless world I could explore—because I learned about language, history, religion, art, politics, economy, globalisation, and people people people! As one cohesive whole, I combined so many other fields of research. Through literature, cinema, theatre, poetry, paintings… I saw a bigger world than I had ever studied before. And I loved it.
