Visual Storytelling and Graphic Art in Genocide and Human Rights Education
Genocide Education project is a seven-year project formally titled: “Visual Storytelling and Graphic Art in Genocide and Human Rights Education”. It introduces a new way of gathering and commemorating the experiences of mass atrocity survivors that emphasizes survivors’ well-being, agency and co-operation. Partners in the project are from Rwanda, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Syria and Indigenous peoples in Canada. The project will create graphic narratives co-authored by survivors and author/artists, a documentary film, a travelling museum exhibition(s) and educational materials for instructors and for informal learning.PI: Charlotte Schallié
