Let us work with you
Do you have an idea or question about the development of:
- web applications
- websites
- online databases
- application programs or
- manipulation of audio, video, images, maps or other media?
The Humanities Computing and Media Centre UVic (HCMC) has an international reputation developing projects in collaboration with researchers and instructors from UVic's Faculty of Humanities.
We have particular expertise in the fields of digital humanities and language learning. We can put that to work for you. If you are a member of the Faculty of Humanities, you are in the right place.
We can help whether your interest is:
- research (e.g. literary or linguistic analysis, electronic editions, research websites)
- teaching (using multimedia labs, creating online exercises, instructional databases) or
- editing (e.g. managing a conference, editing a journal, maintaining a department website)
For more information, visit our services and resources section. We have an established process to help you go from your ideas to a completed project.
If you have questions (big or small) about working with us, or can't find what you're looking for on our site, please get in touch.
We acknowledge and respect the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples on whose traditional territory the university stands and the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
