Practicum
Students in the Diploma in Indigenous Language Revitalization complete one three-week practicum at the end of their 2nd year of courses.
Students who continue on into the Bachelor of Education in Indigenous Language Revitalization will also complete a six-week practicum at the end of their 4th year of courses.
The practicum gives the students a practical opportunity to apply the skills they have learned in a hands-on teaching experience.
Before you start your practicum you must complete a criminal record check and have completed all your coursework.
Students are placed in a school with a mentor teacher and a supervisor who will provide feedback and encouragement throughout their practicum.
