MEd - Indigenous Language Revitalization (2016)
Chuutsqa supports Indigenous language learners to implement and sustain language immersion environments. She currently works with a language nest that she helped to found, and works with Mentor-Apprentice teams across the province. She teaches language immersion courses both as a volunteer and as a sessional instructor in community partnership programs at UVic IED.
In her spare time, she helps organize language immersion camps and loves creating free language learning resources for her nuučaan̓uł/ḥiškʷiiʔatḥ language websites, and .
Quote: The Masters in Indigenous Language Revitalization (MILR) Program provided a safe learning space to reflect on my own Indigenous ancestral values. MILR taught me about Indigenous language actions at the global and local levels and informed my continued language learning and service to the revitalization of my language.
