Patricia Cochran

Patricia Cochran is an Assistant Professor at the UVic Faculty of Law. Her research interests include constitutional law, the law of evidence, social welfare law, and legal and political theory.

Avigail Eisenberg

Dr. Avigail Eisenberg is a faculty member in the Department of Political Science and a faculty associate of Indigenous Governance. She teaches Canadian law and politics, gender and politics, and political theory and is particularly interested in democratic theory and minority rights.

Rebecca Johnson

Rebecca Johnson

Dr. Rebecca Johnson is a Professor in the Faculty of Law. She teaches Criminal Law, Business Associations, Legal Process and Law and Film. Current research projects include a study of judicial decision making (and particularly practices of dissent); an exploration of the economic imaginary in legal and popular culture; a study of cinema as a site of intercultural legal encounter; and an interrogation of the operation of sexuality as a flashpoint in debates around religion and diversity.

Colin Macleod

Professor Macleod holds a joint appointment between the Department of Philosophy and the Faculty of Law. His key areas of interest are comtemporary political philosophy, ethics, and the philosophy of law.

Mara Marin is Assistant Professor of Political Theory at the 番茄社区. She is interested in the ways in which intersections of gender, race and class reproduce structures of oppression and in how collective action and legal reform can dismantle oppressive structures.

Jeremy Webber

Professor Webber is widely recognized as a scholar in the areas of cultural diversity, constitutional theory and indigenous rights. Prior to joining the Faculty of Law at UVic he was Dean of Law at the University of Sydney, Australia. He is author of Reimagining Canada: Language, Culture, Community and the Canadian Constitution (1994)
