Laboratory facilities
The Psychology department is located in the Cornett building on campus.
Fully equipped facilities include a psychology clinic operating as an out-patient service and teaching clinic; large observation rooms with audio and video recording equipment for the study of group interaction and other social processes; microcomputer-based cognition laboratories; experimental rooms with one-way mirrors; electrophysiological recording rooms; and specialized labs for the study of visual and auditory perception.
We have recently constructed a new Brain and Cognition Laboratory featuring two state-of-the-art event-related potential (ERP) systems.
The Department enjoys good community contact with local hospitals (general, rehabilitation, and extended care), schools, and private and government agencies, which provide sites for both research and practicum experiences.
