Area of expertise

Clinical psychology

My research in neuroimaging and neuropsychology has a common focus: to develop research-driven approaches that can be implemented clinically to better understand and assess neuropsychological conditions. Specifically, my research uses magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques, including functional (fMRI) and diffusion-weighted imaging (DTI), to study the brain-behavior relationship in patient populations and in healthy aging.

My lab is currently studying how brain structure and function change with age and in the context of neurodegenerative disorders.  Current projects are focused on healthy aging, subjective cognitive decline, Alzheimer’s disease,  concussion and multiple sclerosis.

Interests

Respect for Diversity: It is my intent that students from diverse backgrounds and perspectives be well-served, and that the diversity that students bring be viewed as a resource, strength and benefit.
