Graduate students
Join an inclusive community of students and internationally-recognized researchers. We focus on both fundamental and applied research that impacts people, places and the planet.
We offer facilities and resources—like the research vessel MSV John Strickland or one of the largest teaching telescopes in the country—to help keep our research at the highest international levels. We have strong connections with research centres and facilities such as , , and the .
Our programs
Our research-intensive programs grant you access to impressive resources and facilities and an international network, while our small class sizes allow you to work closely with excellent faculty. We have over 140 faculty members and several Canada Research Chairs, many of whom accept graduate students.
Our graduate programs focus on individual research projects. Each field has its own expectations in terms of coursework, teaching undergraduate labs and tutorials, and presenting research talks.
