Accuracy
Although care has been taken in preparing this website, the Legacy does not and cannot guarantee the accuracy of the content. Anyone using the information on this site does so at their own risk.
As a courtesy the Legacy provides a database of artworks in the collection. These records may include information originating from the Legacy’s staff/curatorial research, the creator of the work and/or the donor. We take great care compiling these records, but files developed early in our history may be lacking in content and accuracy. Legacy welcomes feedback from individuals who believe that our collection records are inaccurate or incomplete. Please send your feedback to the Curator of Collections.
Protecting Indigenous Knowledges
The Legacy recognizes that modern copyright laws are often a poor fit when it comes to protecting Indigenous knowledges and cultural rights. The Legacy actively researches and addresses gaps in our understanding, but acknowledges that there could be omissions or misrepresentations in records that staff are not aware of. If you have concerns about how your culture’s knowledge is included on the Legacy’s website or cared for by Legacy, please contact us.
