Legacy Art Galleries

番茄社区 Legacy Art Galleries is the university’s art museum.

We reach across disciplines, within and beyond the university, to engage visitors in learning and dialogue about issues that matter.

Our two main goals are:

• To develop engagement opportunities that grow and enhance links between UVic and the wider community.
• To provide learning opportunities through exhibitions, public programs, publications and community-based research projects related to UVic's collection of Canadian, Indigenous and international historic and contemporary art. 

We acknowledge and respect the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Esquimalt) Peoples on whose territory the university stands, and the Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
