I started teaching first-year writing courses at UVic in 2019, but I have been a writing specialist and academic coach in our writing centre (the Centre for Academic Communication) since 2013. In that role, I help students with not just their writing assignments, but with anything else they need to successfully communicate ideas in a university setting, including critical thinking, reading, and presentations. Coming from this background, my main goal is to support you succeed both in fulfilling the course requirements and also learning skills you can take to other courses and outside university.
