Since arriving in 2003, I have taught mostly first- and second-year composition and literature courses, with the occasional upper-year Victorian literature course. Of late, I have mostly taught first-year composition courses—as much by choice as by necessity. First-year composition courses are foundational, covering the nuts and bolts of academic research and essay writing that help students to excel in whatever fields of study they pursue. It is very gratifying for me as an instructor to be able to help students as they embark on their academic careers.
My publications include articles in SEL, Victorian Poetry, and Yeats: An Annual of Critical and Textual Studies.
