ABSTRACT
Abstract:
Recent work on adaptive finite element methods at the University of Texas at Austin will be presented. These methods will be described in the context of nonlinear transport equations that model multicomponent diffusion and reaction. Applications involving proton-exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells will be discussed, including numerical examples. In addition, software development for an adaptive finite element library will be outlined.
